Hair Oiling Step-by-step Ritual.


Before you start: If hair is dirty, we don't recommend applying oil as you will only trap the dirt and grime into the hair follicle. The rule of thumb is less is more. You can always add more but start with one pump. Don't overdo the frequency. Once a week at most.

Warm the Oil:

Warm the No.7 Oil in the palm of your hands. This will make it easier to apply and improve its penetration into your hair and scalp.


Apply to dry hair as water repels oil and will prevent it from penetrating your scalp and hair.

Scalp Massage:

Gently massage the scalp for about 15 minutes. Make sure to cover the entire scalp. Hair oiling helps relieve stress and tension and encourages blood circulation, promoting growth and strengthening hair follicles.

Hair Lengths and Ends:

Use your hands to apply the remaining oil from your palms to mid-lengths and ends of the hair. This extra moisture is especially beneficial if you colour or chemically treat your hair. Always be gentle to avoid causing breakage.

Warm Cloth:

Wrap with a warm cloth, preferably not a rough towel, as towels can cause breakage. The warm cloth will help open up the hair cuticles and pores, allowing deeper penetration of the oils.

Waiting Time:

Leave the oil on your hair for about 10 minutes. If you have time, leaving it on for an hour will provide extra nourishment to your hair.


Finish by cleansing with a Wash and condition as usual.
