Transform washing your hair into an enjoyable self-care ritual. Here is our tips to maximise your No.1 Wash and No.5 Hair Masque. No.1 Wash is a delicate, too good to be true wash containing no parabens, sulphates or silicones. Mild enough for a daily dose, and soft where it counts on delicate scalps.

Palmarosa Oil is known for its power to rejuvenate and regenerate skin. Rich in linalool and limonene which promote strong, healthy hair and offer serious hydration and sustenance to hair follicles and scalp tissue; perfect for dry, wavy hair.
Ylang Ylang helps to control natural oils in the scalp promoting new hair growth, it also penetrates the underlying layers of the scalp and works to strengthen hair follicles; highly effective for treating dry, flaky, and itchy scalps.

Prepare your Hair
Before you step into the shower, gently brush, or comb your hair to remove any tangles or knots.

Wetting your Hair
Begin by thoroughly wetting your hair with lukewarm water. Take your time and allow the water to flow over your head for at least 1 min.
Ensure all parts of your hair, including the ends are completely soaked. This will help open the hair cuticles, making it easier for your hair to absorb the nourishing properties of the Sweet Caroline No. 1 WASH.

Apply your shampoo – No. 1 WASH.
To optimize the performance of Sweet Caroline No. 1 WASH, start by determining the appropriate amount of product to use based on the length and texture of your hair. If you have short hair, a pump of shampoo should be enough. For longer hair, you might need two to three pumps or more.

Start by applying the shampoo to your hair, mix with a small amount of water in the palm of your hand. This way, you'll reduce the direct impact of the shampoo on your scalp and minimise product consumption.

Then, apply the shampoo to your entire scalp and crown.

Focus on shampooing your scalp rather than the ends of your hair. Apply shampoo to the scalp, and let it clean the rest of the hair when you rinse it out.

Repeat, this time massaging into mid-lengths and ends too. Expect more foam the second time around.

Go easy on your scalp
Take the time to massage your scalp with gentle pressure, for about 3 minutes. Aim for the same kind of pressure as your stylist uses when they wash your hair and give you a scalp massage.

Avoid circular or harsh back and forth movements while massaging the shampoo into your scalp.

Move your fingers and palms gently to avoid tangling and damaging the follicles. It's easy to dig in with your nails to loosen " build-up on your scalp, but this is a bad idea.

Our scalps are highly vulnerable to abrasive washing. You should never scrub with your nails, as it may cause serious irritation.

Rinse thoroughly
Spend 1 to 2 minutes rinsing your hair to be sure no soap remains. One of the biggest mistakes people make is accidentally leaving shampoo in their hair, which leads to scalp build-up.

If you have dry hair, try rinsing with cold water because it helps hair stay stronger and healthier. Cold water doesn't dry out the sebum layer of your hair, a naturally lubricated barrier that protects and keeps it strong.

SC Tip: Our No. 1 Wash is gentle enough to use as a body wash for an all over cleansing experience. Enjoy the soothing scents of Lavender, Ylang Ylang  and Palmarosa as you pamper yourself from head to toe.

Condition Using Sweet Caroline No.5 Hair Masque
Apply a small amount to the palm of your hand and work the product through your hair down to the ends. The steam from the shower will help to open your hair’s cuticle.

Leave the masque in your hair for at least two minutes and up to 10 minutes. Then wrap your hair in a hot, damp towel for five minutes to help steam the product into your hair. Rinse out or you can leave in as an overnight treatment.

Post Rinse
After Rinsing, gently pat your hair with a soft towel to remove excess water. Avoid vigorous rubbing, which can damage your hair.
